The Montgomery County Public School District was founded in 1860. With more than 140,000 students, it is the largest school district in the state of Maryland. The district is comprised of 133 Elementary Schools, 38 Middle Schools, 25 High Schools, 6 Special Education schools and 1 Alternative High School.

Since 2006, Quaker has supplied new windows for more than 25 MCPS projects, including The Carver Educational Services Center, the district’s headquarters located in Rockville. The Carver Center was originally known as George Washington Carver High School, recognized as the first African-American High School in the United States.
Quaker’s T300 Series Aluminum Single Hung windows, with special reflective glazing, was utilized to replicate the Carver Center’s classic exterior look. Several other Quaker products have been used in recent MCPS projects. They include hung (H300 Series Single Hung), Venting (Emerge Series Casement), Slider (E300 & K200) and Fixed (K200 & K300) windows. Mixed in are various glazing packages, panning profiles and trims to match and enhance the distinctive architectural appearance specific to each project.
