Utilizing premium laminated glass with specially designed glazing, Quaker blast resistant windows significantly reduce the debris that can occur when buildings are affected from a blast.
The strong polyvinyl interlayer can hold the glass together following a blast impact, while the ultra-tough aluminum frame holds the damaged unit in place, reducing the amount of airborne glass and potential for injuries.

All of Quaker’s blast resistant windows have been carefully tested to meet the strict criteria outlined in the Department of Defense’s Minimum Anti-Terrorism Building Standards and comply with ASTM F1642-04 (Standard Test Method for Glazing and Glazing System Subject to Airblast Loadings).
Categorized as “Performance Condition 2” as per the GSA/ISC Performance Conditions for Window System Response, these certified test results demonstrate that Quaker blast-resistant windows provide a very high level of protection where glazing cracks but is retained by the frame, protecting room occupants and interior items.
